LAMPcomputing.com community newsletter
Welcome to the first newsletter issue of LAMPComputing.com. The community website was launched on 14 June 2007. Yes, it calls for celebration of our birthday!
It has been a pleasure to be a part of the community for all the organizers. I would like to take this opportunity to summarize the site activities throughout the year. Initially we published few blogs posts on our favourite topic - GNU/Linux. Playing Music and Video in Fedora 7 was a massive success. It helped 13,000 people install multimedia codes to play different types of media files on their GNU/Linux installation. It was followed by several other Linux how to articles. All of them witnessed good response from the visitors.
Later we started forums on our site which is attracting quite a bit of traffic. We also started this newsletter subscription for those of you who want to stay informed about our latest news. We hope to send out newsletters to you more frequently.
We have been working on wide variety of content for our visitors. We intend to publish a series of articles on Linux command line usage. I personally have drafted few blog posts on PHP and MySQL. You will be able to read all of them in a few days. When you join us to post more articles the impact will be tremendous.
We foresee opportunities to improve your LAMPcomputing.com experience. We would like you to get on board and start contributing to the community. Contributions can be made in many forms. Most notable among them are - submitting blog posts, news, articles, helping people on forums, inviting your friends to the site, etc. We have also started a new forum where we can discuss the LAMPComputing.com experience at http://lampcomputing.com/forum/suggest-how-we-can-improve-lampcomputingc....
Thank you for being here with us. I hope to hear from you soon.
With warm regards,
Sudheer. S
